    Problemen met video afspelen

    Als mijn MBP een tijdje aanstaat dan kan ik geen video meer afspelen.

    Dit probleem doet zich voor bij Quicktime VLC , PremierePro en ook op Youtube.
    Als ik opnieuw opstart dan werkt het weer maar na een tijdje ontstaat het weer.

    Heeft iemand hier ervaring mee of een tip waar ik naar moet zoeken om het op te lossen?

    Wat zijn de symptomen dan precies? Gaat het beeld haperen? Laat eens tegelijk met de video activiteitenweergave eens meedraaien. Als je geheugendruk erg groot is (rood dus) terwijl er geen andere geheugen vretende programma’s open zijn is er kennelijk sprake van een memory leak want een video afspelen (dit in tegenstelling tot editen) zou vandaag de dag geen probleem meer mogen zijn.

    Nee. Het beeld staat stil en bij play gebeurt er niks.

    Je hebt Apple’s Gatekeeper uitgezet, maar wel drie AV programma’s draaien…. WTF.

    Dat viel mij ook al op en aangezien Malwarebytes er toch op staat: wat is dáár het rapport van?

    De oorzaak lijkt in de ‘core-video’ te zitten aangezien meerdere applicaties er last van hebben. Maar het is wel vreemd dat het dan wel een poosje na opstarten blijft werken en dat impliceert toch dat het met de CPU/GPU en het geheugen heeft te maken.

     

    Als het beeld eenmaal stilstaat werkt de rest (zoals de Finder) dan nog wel goed? Indien op dat moment de gehele Mac traag is is je geheugen ‘vol’ gelopen.

    Ja, dat functioneert allemaal gewoon goed.

    Ik heb het nog een paar keer in de gaten gehouden.
    Als ik na het vastlopen opnieuw ben opgestart gaan de ventilatoren blazen.
    De onderkant van MacBook is niet heel erg warm. Soms is ie wel vrij warm, soms heet en dan is er nog wel bewegend beeld.
    Het lijkt erop dat er geen relatie is tussen temperatuur en het niet kunnen spelen van video’s.
    Aan de andere kant is het opmerkelijk dat ie na een vastloper+herstart een paar seconden gaat koelen.
