Donderdag begint de jaarlijkse International Broadcasting Convention weer in de Amsterdamse RAI. Inmiddels is het een traditie dat de Final Cut Pro User Group een eigen bijeenkomst organiseert tijdens IBC, zo ook dit jaar. Op zondag 11 september wordt de FCPUG SuperMeet 2011 gehouden in het Krasnapolsky Hotel op de Dam.

Natuurlijk zal de bijeenkomst dit jaar grotendeels in het teken staan van Final Cut Pro X, het compleet vernieuwde maar zeer wisselend ontvangen videomontage-programma van Apple. Michael Wohl, een van de originele ontwerpers van Final Cut Pro, zal het podium betreden om ‘alles over versie X te vertellen dat je moet weten’. Volgens Wohl bestaat er veel onduidelijkheid over wat je als editor nou wel en niet kan doen met Final Cut Pro X. Hij wil dit ophelderen in zijn presentatie.

Mocht je nadien niet overtuigd zijn dat Final Cut Pro X voor jou is, dan kan Jason Levine van Adobe vertellen wat de CS 5.5 Production Suite met Adobe Premiere Pro voor je kan betekenen. Verder komen er filmmakers, video-softwarebouwers en professionele editors op het podium. Ook wordt er € 37.000 aan prijzen weggegeven in de SuperMeets traditionele World Famours Raffle.

Wil jij erbij zijn? Kom dan zondag 11 september naar het Krasnapolsky Hotel op de Dam. De deuren gaan om 16:30 open. Wie vooraf kaarten koopt betaalt € 15,- (€ 10,- voor studenten/docenten). Aan de deur betaal je € 20,- (zolang de voorraad strekt).

    Verder lijkt het me interessant. Ben nog niet erg wel van X. Hoewel ik het geïnstalleerd heb blijf ik voor als nog bij 7
